Location: 925 4th Ave #1600 Seattle, Washington 98104 – must be local

Start ASAP – anticipated yearlong contract with possibility of extension

Pay: negotiable

The role asks for typical SRE responsibilities, i.e. building pipelines to cloud native infrastructure, helping to develop best practices by establishing new patterns.

*NEED to be familiar with GCP for hosting Node applications – JavaScript is critical*

Critical Technology Experience:

  • GitLab CL/CD
  • Kubernetes
  • GCP
  • Docker
  • Shell Scripting
  • Jenkins (nice to have)
  • Distelli (nice to have)
  • AWS (nice to have)

Key Skills:

  • 6 months to a year with GCP (Google Cloud Platform, needs to be comfortable with deploying applications to GCP, some of the nuances related to administration and configuration of GCP, familiar with some of the modules offered by GCP like application hosting, VMs, serverless apis, dealing with databases, familiar with Google Cloud Storage, etc)
  • 1 year experience working in a Linux  and scripting environment (comfortable working off of terminal, comfortable with Linux storage, etc)
  • Familiar with Node JS hosting on GCP (don’t need to know how to code in Node, just host Node apps in GCP)
  • Puppet, Chef, or Ansible (for working with IaaS) huge plus

Basic Qualifications: 

  • 2+ years professional development and operational experience minimum
  • 2+ years’ experience delivering and supporting Javascript based applications (client or server-side)
  • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery
  • Demonstrated excellence with complex Javascript systems (client or server-side)
  • Experience supporting highly visited sites and complex caching

 Preferred Qualifications: 

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
  • 1+ years’ experience delivering and supporting single page apps or progressive web app
  • 1+ years’ experience delivering and supporting node services
  • 1+ years hands on experience with automated end-to-end testing across various browsers and devices
